An interesting strategy game

Call Me Emperor is a free Android game in the strategy gaming genre. Lately, there has been an increasing demand for RPG-style ‘war’ themed games. With this title, Clicktouch Co. Ltd. aims to capture people’s attention through simple graphics, engaging storyline, easy-to-use gameplay, and huge maps to explore. While the strategy game focuses on a battle-style storyline and gameplay, it doesn’t show too much violence or blood. In fact, it reminds of the popular classics like Clash Royale and Lords Mobile.

A good opportunity to have some fun

Call Me Emperor is a free strategy game that requires you to battle, hunt, kill, rule, and do everything else people only dream of in their lives. Developed by Clicktouch Co. Ltd., the game has been loved by indie fans, who’re often interested in exploring new titles focusing on war themes and battles. In the first look, the Android game looks simple and minimal. However, once you start playing with different characters, it gives you a glimpse of the RPG-style nostalgia that keeps you engaged throughout the adventure.

What is Call Me Emperor?

The game has been set in China, where you’re an emperor or empress who suddenly rose to power. In order to gain control of the huge territory, you need to deal with many jealous countries and rebels. Surrounded by powerful ministers, ‘beauties’, romance, and other triggers, you indulge in multiple battles to keep control of the kingdom.

Once you start playing Call Me Emperor, you’ll enjoy several aspects of the game. The main storyline complements various stage battles, where you can choose ministers based on real-life historical figures. If you choose a specific minister, the game limits your gender choice, which can be annoying if you’re keen to choose a male or female character.

However, the fun begins when you’re able to train the ‘kids’ to be heirs, throw parties, marry other empresses or emperors, and join alliances. Simply put, the game has too much to offer, and you’ll spend hours trying different things in the kingdom.

Unfortunately, compared to Haze of War or Pokemon United, Call Me Emperor features an average background score and graphics. Overall, the game looks fine, and you won’t feel bored for a second.

How to play Call Me Emperor?

Since Call Me Emperor is a free game, you can start playing it instantly. There’s no need to subscribe or make a payment. You just choose an emperor type among four female and four male characters. Each one comes with a different appearance. But since it’s a strategy game, your choice of character won’t affect the storyline. Your actions definitely will!

At the beginning of the game, you take control of a fictional empire in China. Like other games from Clicktouch Co. Ltd., this one doesn’t have any real-life cities or countries. After your inauguration as the emperor or empress, you start doing everything a ruler does in a kingdom. This includes conceiving strategies to run a flourishing empire, imposing taxes, training for battles, and more.

The interesting part is that the Android game focuses on a main storyline. While you rule the nation, you need to appoint ministers, some of whom don’t agree with the idea of your character governing the kingdom. This leads to various issues, and you need to be on your toes every step of the way.

If you choose to venture out of the ‘capital city’, you don’t have any idea about the things you might encounter. The reason is that your character goes ‘incognito’, and the general public doesn’t realize that you’re the emperor or empress. This could lead to confrontations, such as the one where an outlaw mob attacks your guards and advisors. Such mini-stories keep happening throughout the game and ensure interesting gameplay.

How’s the gameplay?

Considering the dwelling-management, the app features a well-organized and easy-to-use interface. At every point in the game, you’re given clear visual cues of your character’s placement in the map. On taking the seat of power in the kingdom, the interface points you in the direction of the capital city. You can keep a watch on important buildings, such as Monarch Hall, Governance Hall, Education Room, etc. with the panoramic view. Each building has a function, and you can visit different settings to explore your kingdom.

The main interface also clearly shows the character, game level, and other options, such as change of wallpaper, quests, events, mailbox, in-game store, treasury, rewards, and more. If you decide to venture out of the capital city, the interface brings up a map of the kingdom. While building a strategy to engage in battle or intermingle with the public, you can freely move around with the entire army.

The map interface displays different points of interest in the game. As mentioned earlier, you can choose to visit locations and buildings with different purposes. Additionally, you can go on a ‘royal hunt’ or engage in combat against the ruler of another kingdom. Combat is done in a boss fight model. While you need to click only a couple of times to start the fight, where characters give it their all, each battle tells a different story in the main agenda. Overall, everything in the game will keep you engaged.

A fun ride into a war-themed world

Call Me Emperor delivers everything you’d expect from a free Android game. In this strategy game, you have the opportunity to explore a huge map, live like an emperor, and build plans to rule a kingdom. Additionally, you can experience romance with other players, wear fancy clothes, explore palaces, appoint ministers, impose taxes, and act like a true ‘king’ or ‘queen’.
